The Borderland is one binational region shared across
El Paso, Ciudad Juárez, and Doña Ana County, home to
2.5 million people today and growing to 3.1 million by
2040. The communities of this region possess deep
knowledge, rich assets, and legitimate claims on the
decisions that shape their future.
A project of the El Paso Innovation Hub at the El Paso
Community Foundation, Avanza serves as the
Borderland's dedicated civic infrastructure for
community-grounded data and policy, bringing
together residents, policymakers, researchers, and
institutions around a shared evidence base.
